Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise is conducting a Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study for widening the Turnpike from SR 408 to SR 50 in Orange County. The Turnpike currently has eight to 12 lanes within the study limits. The PD&E Study will evaluate widening the Turnpike with and without managed lanes, plus auxiliary lanes.
An Alternatives Public Information Meeting was held in August 2021. A Public Hearing is tentatively scheduled for Spring 2022. The PD&E Study is anticipated to be complete by Summer 2022.
