Project Description:

Marion County is working to complete the Southwest 49^th Avenue extension, linking Ocala and Marion Oaks. This segment, SW 49^th Avenue North, extends for 3.4 miles from Marion Oaks Trail to SW 95^th Street. Improvements include a proposed four-lane roadway, sidewalks, bike lanes, multi-use path, and a grassed median.

Marion County anticipates its Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) Study will be complete in early 2022. The PER Study will then be presented to Marion County for determination of the project alignment.
