Project Description:

Osceola County and the City of St. Cloud conducted a Project Development and Environmental (PD&E) Study of Canoe Creek Road. The Study evaluated widening Canoe Creek Road to a four-lane divided roadway from Deer Run Road to US Highway 192, a length of 4.65 miles. Improvements will also include sidewalks and buffered bicycle lanes. A public meeting Canoe Creek from Deer Run Road to the Southport Connector took place on for April 29, 2026 (virtual) and in-person on April 30, 2026. See details here.

The project has been divided into three segments.

The expansion of Canoe Creek from Deer Run Road to Pine Tree Drive is funded for the Design process. Property acquisition is expected to take place beginning in fiscal year 2027.

The other two segments of the expansion of  Canoe Creek are not currently funded for Design or property acquisition.
