Mickey R.E. Barkett is an attorney practicing in the areas of eminent domain and real estate litigation since 2000. Her eminent domain practice includes representation of both property owners and taking authorities. She has experience in general civil litigation, inverse condemnation, Bert Harris Act, land use disputes, quiet title actions, escrow disputes, contract disputes, foreclosures, foreclosure defense, landlord tenant disputes, business disputes and construction law. Mrs. Barkett has significant jury trial, bench trial and arbitration experience.

Mrs. Barkett was accepted as a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum in 2005. Mrs. Barkett has served on many local boards including the City of Orlando Municipal Planning Board as Chair and Vice Chair.

Mrs. Barkett attended University of Mississippi School of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctorate. While at the University of Mississippi School of Law, she competed and won a position on the Mississippi Law Journal. Mrs. Barkett also received competition-based scholarships.

Mrs. Barkett attended Auburn University and received an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science from the College of Engineering.
